This document provides preliminary information about changes to the Printing Manager interface for Carbon applications. This information is intended to help experienced Macintosh developers convert existing Mac OS 8 applications into Carbon applications that can print on Mac OS X as well as on Mac OS 8. You should read this document if you are creating a Carbon application that supports printing.
In order to understand the information presented here, you should be familiar with the original Printing Manager interface, as well as QuickDraw and the Dialog Manager. Documentation for these technologies is available on Apple's website at
